Safe Online Surfing
Friday, February 2nd, 2007By now we have all seen shows such as Dateline MSNBC’s “To Catch a Predator” which expose the potential dangers to our children by online predators.
The FBI has developed an online safety program (FBI-SOS) to teach school students how to recognize, and appropriately react to, the dangers associated with online chat rooms, email and instant messaging.
It’s not enough to catch online predators, educating our children about how they can stay safe while using the internet will go a long way toward reducing the number of crimes against our children.
